HC2DT Important UPdate ~ 09/01/2020:
The IDMCC committee met last night and it has been agreed to set the entry fee for this years’ Fantic Edition at £60.
This has been necessary to counteract inflation, an increase in some of our overheads such as the toilet facilities and we were caught out last year by the increase in the SACU insurance premiums, which the club absorbed.
Entries will open as planned on Saturday, 1st February 2020 and will close either when full, or by 11th April.
Entries will be accepted on a first come basis and if necessary a reserve list also on first come basis will be maintained.
Entrants should indicate by ticking the box at the foot of the entry form marked in red font if they wish to be considered for the reserve list if their entry misses the first allocation.
We have experienced a drop-out rate of between 10 – 15% over the years, so there is still a chance that entrants could get a ride up to a week before the event.
In line with previous events, we will refund the entry fee for a bona fide reason, as long as the entry withdrawn is replaced by a reserve entry.
Those entrants considered worthy of a ‘Signature Rider’ placement will complete the same entry form and pay the same fee and will be notified by the Entries Secretary upon receipt of their bona fide entry of their upgrade to ‘Signature Rider’ status.
UPdate for the annual Highland Classic Two-Day Trial
The theme will be Fantic for 2020 and we hope that the special parc ferme will be full of the Italian brand, however we cannot give any preference to entries on the marque, it is a first come first served entry format.
If you intend entering the event, we would appreciate if you could indicate if you are able to bring an observer with you as we are always open to offers to help us run this prestigeous event. There will be a place on the entry form in the 2020 form.
Entry forms will be available on Saturday, February 1st at 00.01am as a download on this website and the club’s facebook page, the entry maximum will be 160 riders and the club will have a further 20-25 ‘Signature Riders’ who will be either Trial Partner entries or invited riders at the committee’s discretion. The ‘Signature Riders’ do not encroach on the 160 places, they are in addition to it. thus we will have a field of 180 – 185 riders at the event as we did in 2019.
2020 – Entries open:
Regulations and Entry forms will be available, as a download on the Inverness & District website www.idmcc.co.uk and social media – on 00:01 Saturday 1st February, 2020. No paper entries will be sent out and all entries must be sent to the entry secretary by post, courier or hand delivery.
2020 – Entries close:
Entries will close on Saturday 11th April, 2020 or when the maximum of 160 entrants has been reached if sooner. Successful entrants and reserve entrants will be notified by e-mail and a reserve list will be drawn up accordingly.
We will be retaining the ‘first come, first served’ method of allocation and no priority can be given to any class or brand of motorcycle when accepting the entries. Now an established feature of the event, the IDMCC will retain the right to set aside and allocate or reserve spaces, where appropriate, to our Guests of Honour with a Fantic connection; Special Guest competitors or competitors entered by our Trial Partners. This will be at the discretion of the Inverness club committee and will be kept to a minimum. Guests of Honour; Special Guests and Trial Partner entries will be above the 160 maxima, so that this does not preclude bona fide entries.
We can only suggest that competitors download and print off the regulations immediately on release and return the entry form promptly to avoid disappointment, given that the 2019 entry closed within twenty-four hours. We hope that this will be seen as a fair and equitable solution, albeit it cannot prevent over-subscription.
