NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF IDMCC:
At the committee meeting held
this evening 13th July, 2020, it was decided to close the club
membership register for 2020. No new members will be accepted from
13/07/2020 until 01/12/2020.
This has been done to allow management of the return to events for the remainder of the year which will be limited in number and will require pre-entry.
Details will be intimated to paid up members by e-mail shortly.
It was felt that we should cater for members who have supported our club pre-Covid19.
The committee hope that prospective members can appreciate our decision and hope that you will support the club in 2021.
Closed to Club trials and official Practice days will be resuming shortly, but not Open To Scotland or any National trials will be held in 2020.
John Moffat, Club & Company Secretary
Due to the worldwide pandemic caused by Covid-19, the Inverness & District Motor Cycle Club Ltd has suspended all events, activities and meetings until further notice.
Please also note that the SACU offices are also closed at this time. All motorcycle events are suspended until at least 31st May 2020 or further notice.
Notification of start-up will be given on this website, the club official facebook page and e-mails to current club members for the 2020 season.
Message from the Club Chairman, Grant Coward:
The Inverness & District MCC Ltd is a successful club with over 200 members, something we are proud of and our aim is to promote two national trials per year and give you, the club member, club events throughout the season, along with a Club Championship.
The club is now looking for two additional members to assist setting out Tomchrasky as some have had to drop out due to personal reasons, this is unfortunate. If two out of the remaining 203 members who have not helped set out an event this year don’t come forward, the event will be cancelled and the 2019 championship will be decided on four rounds and runs the risk of inevitably being ‘scrapped’ as not all who have ridden the championship will have observed. Please, the choice is your’s guys, after all it is YOUR club.
Highland Classic 2020 – The FANTIC Edition:
The Inverness & District MCC are already planning next
years’ event; it has been decided that we will commemorate the Italian Fantic marque. We wish to give
competitors prior notice of some of our plans for 2020. Due to the continued
popularity of the Highland Classic, the committee have decided on the following
method to invite entries from competitors.
2020 – Entries open:
Regulations and Entry forms will be available, as a download
on the Inverness & District website www.idmcc.co.uk and social media – on 00:01
Saturday 1st February, 2020.
No paper entries will be sent out and all entries must be sent to the entry
secretary by post, courier or hand delivery.
2020 – Entries close:
Entries will close on Tuesday
14th April, 2020 or when the maximum of 160 entrants has been reached if sooner. Successful entrants and
reserve entrants will be notified by e-mail and a reserve list will be drawn up
We will be retaining the ‘first come, first served’ method of allocation and no priority can be given to any class or brand of motorcycle when accepting the entries. Now an established feature of the event, the IDMCC will retain the right to set aside and allocate or reserve spaces, where appropriate, to our Guests of Honour with a Fantic connection; ‘Signature Riders’ or competitors entered by our Trial Partners. This will be at the discretion of the Inverness club committee and will be kept to a minimum. Guests of Honour; Special Guests and Trial Partner entries will be above the 160 maxima, so that this does not preclude bona fide entries.
We can only suggest that competitors download and print off the
regulations immediately on release and return the entry form promptly to avoid
disappointment, given that the 2019 entry closed within twenty-four hours. We
hope that this will be seen as a fair and equitable solution, albeit it cannot
