Highland Classic 2020 – The FANTIC Edition:
The Inverness & District MCC are already planning next
years’ event; it has been decided that we will commemorate the Italian Fantic marque. We wish to give
competitors prior notice of some of our plans for 2020. Due to the continued
popularity of the Highland Classic, the committee have decided on the following
method to invite entries from competitors.
2020 – Entries open:
Regulations and Entry forms will be available, as a download
on the Inverness & District website www.idmcc.co.uk and social media – on 00:01
Saturday 1st February, 2020.
No paper entries will be sent out and all entries must be sent to the entry
secretary by post, courier or hand delivery.
2020 – Entries close:
Entries will close on Tuesday
14th April, 2020 or when the maximum of 160 entrants has been reached if sooner. Successful entrants and
reserve entrants will be notified by e-mail and a reserve list will be drawn up
accordingly.
We will be retaining the ‘first come, first served’ method of allocation and no priority can be given to any class or brand of motorcycle when accepting the entries. Now an established feature of the event, the IDMCC will retain the right to set aside and allocate or reserve spaces, where appropriate, to our Guests of Honour with a Fantic connection; ‘Signature Riders’ or competitors entered by our Trial Partners. This will be at the discretion of the Inverness club committee and will be kept to a minimum. Guests of Honour; Special Guests and Trial Partner entries will be above the 160 maxima, so that this does not preclude bona fide entries.
We can only suggest that competitors download and print off the
regulations immediately on release and return the entry form promptly to avoid
disappointment, given that the 2019 entry closed within twenty-four hours. We
hope that this will be seen as a fair and equitable solution, albeit it cannot
prevent over-subscription.
